How to Join

Applications for membership in the Women's Golf Association of Baltimore (WGA), founded in 1930 to encourage better golf and friendly competition among local women players, are being accepted from qualified candidates through August 31 of the current year. Requirements for membership include:

Membership Instructions

  1. Complete the application form. (Note: An applicant for membership in the WGA must be proposed by the club's WGA Board Member and seconded by another WGA member.)
  2. Submit the last twenty score cards and computer printout for rounds played through the submitted date, with the completed application. Note the following:
    1. If an applicant submits her application prior to August 31, she is expected to maintain the 15.0 index through August 31. A computer printout verification of her index as of August 31, must be submitted by the applicant to her WGA sponsor and accompany the original application form.)
    2. The dates on the score cards must correspond to those on the computer printout.
    3. The score cards must be properly attested to with legible signatures (no nicknames). The signatures should include the first and last name of the applicant and the attestor.
    4. The date that the round was played must be clearly noted on the scorecard.
    5. These scores must be achieved at any golf course with an United States Golf Association slope and rating.
    6. Eight of the twenty rounds must be played with and attested to by WGA members. These rounds must be played with at least two different WGA members.
  3. A non-refundable application fee of $25.00 must accompany the application form.
  4. Return the application form and the required materials to your club's WGA Board Member by September 1.
